Baraji

In Korean traditional music, baraji refers to impromptu singing, while instrumental accompanists add harmony to the lead vocal and enhances colors of the music. The baraji style is based on Jindo Ssitgim Gut, a shamanistic purging ritual for the dead.

Baraji is a music group who pays homage to assisting (baraji), and wants to share the beauty of assisting with the world through baraji-style music. The group strives to interact with contemporary audiences through various genres of traditional music including vocals, percussion, instrumental and theatrical music.

The group will be performing their very first album “Beasohn” which was released last May.
