    Special Exhibition "Talk Talk Korea 2024 Winners" Experience the Essence of Korea Through Global Perspectives The Korean Cultural Center in Belgium and the EU proudly presents a special exhibition featuring winning entries from the 2024 Talk Talk Korea International Contest. This showcase brings together 80 outstanding works selected from over 59,646 submissions from 140 countries, offering a unique global perspective on Korean culture. This exhibition celebrates Korea’s unique artistic heritage by showcasing various works that explore themes of prosperity, hope, and harmony between nature and humanity. The exhibition features iconic subjects from Korean traditional paintings, including Sipjangsaengdo(Ten Symbols of Longevity), Ilwolobongdo(Sun and Moon with Five Peaks), Gungjung Hwajodo(Palace Flower and Bird Paintings), Haehakbandodo (Sea, Cranes, and Peaches), and Chaekgeori (bookshelf paintings). Additionally, it includes floral-themed works such as The Potato Flower and The Peony Flower, as well as Flowers and plants Paintings(Hwahwado), combining natural elements with symbolic motifs to create a diverse visual experience. Each piece blends traditional symbolism with modern interpretations, offering visitors a profound insight into Korea’s cultural heritage. Highlights of the exhibition include Yeonapdo (lotus and duck paintings), Hwajeopdo (flowers and butterflies), and Chaekgeori—artworks that beautifully illustrate the unique charm of folk paintings of Korea. These works go beyond aesthetic appeal, embedding deeper meanings of health, wealth, hope, and prosperity, while reflecting the timeless value of Korean traditional art.

    Exhibition K-COMICS Poster ©KoreanCulturalCenter to Belgium & the EU Exhibition K-COMICS, "All of us are dead", "Solo Leveling" 16 Sept. ~ 7 Nov. 2024 *'Artist Talk' with Dong Geun JOO, the author of All of Us Are Dead, on October 15, 2024, at 18:30 at the Korean Cultural Center Brussels Today, Korean webtoons have transcended the boundaries of mere comics and have established themselves as a new form of cultural content that creates a bond of empathy with readers around the world. With their creative storytelling, charming characters, and innovative use of digital platforms, webtoons have evolved from mere comics into a massive industry. This exhibition provides an opportunity to experience firsthand the distinctive charm and outstanding creativity of various Korean webtoon works. It also shows how webtoons have gained worldwide popularity as cultural content in the digital age and have created significant business value in the process. Webtoons go beyond mere entertainment by conveying humanistic values through their exploration of human emotions and social issues. Through these values, Korean webtoons evoke empathy in readers and play an important role as a tool for cultural communication.     Dance and Music of the Royal Banquet in Korea Exhibition Poster ©KoreanCulturalCenter to Belgium & the EU [Exhibition] Dance and music of the royal banquet in Korea 03/07/2024 > 06/09/2024 *Free admission without reservation The Korean Cultural Center in Brussels and the National Gugak Center hold a special exhibition titled "Dance and Music of the Royal Banquet in Korea" under the theme of ‘Imin jinyeondobyeong’, a Korean cultural property (Seoul Metropolitan Government Tangible Cultural Heritage Nos. 543 & 544). ‘Imin jinyeondobyeong’, made in 1902, is a ten-panel folding screen depicting the ceremonial procedures of King Gojong’s entrance into ‘giroso (a senior-level office for civil ministers)’ at the age of 51. In this exhibition, representative Korean musical instruments used at royal banquets at the time, such as ‘gayageum’, ‘geomungo’, ‘daegeum’, and ‘piri’, as well as traditional performance costumes and ancient documents such as <Daeakhubo> and <Akhakgwebeom> will be displayed to introduce various aspects of the royal family of Korea.
