Exhibition "Hanbok on the Road" March 10 ~ June 6, 2025 @ Korean Cultural Center Brussels The Korean Cultural Center in Brussels is proud to host the photo exhibition "Hanbok on the Road" starting from Friday, March 10, 2025. This exhibition showcases the outcome of a unique cultural journey that took place from July to November 2024 across Antwerp, Dinant, and Brussels. Eighteen participants, including residents from Greece, Ukraine, Slovenia, Romania, and Belgium, as well as Korean adoptees, explored these cities while wearing Hanbok, experiencing firsthand the beauty of traditional Korean attire. One participant from Slovenia joined the event to create a special memory for his niece and his mother, who were visiting Belgium. His niece, a fan of K-pop and K-dramas, was introduced to Hanbok through these cultural influences. Another participant, a Korean adoptee who has lived in Belgium for 44 years, wanted to give his K-pop-loving daughter the opportunity to experience Korean culture before their first trip to Korea next year. Each participant brought their own unique story and heartfelt motivation to the project, connecting with Korea through Hanbok and expressing their narratives against the beautiful Belgian backdrop. The photographs featured in this exhibition capture the participants' passion for Korean traditions, their admiration for its beauty, and their desire to share its cultural value with the world.
