Korean Cultural Center to the European Union and Belgium: A Bridge Connecting Korean Culture in the Heart of Europe
The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) to the European Union and Belgium opened its doors in November 2013 in Brussels, the "Capital of Europe."
As the political and economic hub of the continent, Brussels hosts the headquarters of the European Union (EU) and NATO, as well as numerous international organizations and multinational corporations. Located at this symbolic crossroads, the KCC has been at the forefront of broadening mutual cultural understanding and fostering cooperation between Korea and Belgium, as well as Korea and the EU, through a wide range of cultural activities that bridge tradition and modernity.
Our center is an open space where visitors can discover and experience the profound values and dynamic charm of Korean culture—from exhibitions, performances, and films to Korean language classes, cuisine, crafts, and Taekwondo. Furthermore, we serve as a "platform for reciprocal cultural exchange," growing alongside Belgian and European cultural institutions, international organizations, and the local community through close communication.
Culture is not static; it finds its true value when it evolves and communicates. The Korean Cultural Center will continue to serve as a bridge for empathy and evolution, strengthening the cultural ties between Korea and Europe even more deeply and firmly.
