The performance Taekkyon Arirang represents the fusion between 2 elements belonging to the Korean cultural heritage: Taekkyon and Arirang.

Taekkyon is an ancient martial art, which movements are softer and more harmonious than in taekwondo, its modern successor. Arirang is the title of an exceptionally popular Korean folk song, which can be considered as the unofficial Korean national hymn. The song, with its countless versions, is infused with the country’s history and with the wisdom of Korean ancestors. Arirang is the embodiment of the essence of the Korean identity.

For this performance, Taekkyon and Arirang combine in an outstanding show, which links tradition to the contemporary age.
