🌟 'Into Thin Air', contemporary dance (55 mins) | May 14, 2024 | 1 PM, 5 PM @ Korean Cultural Center

〈Into Thin Air〉 is a trash art based, real life inspired visual theater piece. It is about emptiness. It deals with the disappearance of value and cause, the loss of the present in the rush for a better future. Into Thin Air is set in a world of commercial values and soap opera morals. The piece's dramatic aspects, filled with dark humor, are derived from the true stories if there are 9 participants. As the piece unfolds, the dancers stretch their physical boundaries, as the characters in the piece are stretching their realistic boundaries to fit comics-like prototypes. Through rhythmical movement sections and beautifully crude visual imagery, short stories emerge, exposing a vast emotional field in which the 9 characters' virtuosity move around.

🌟 'Dance Speaks', contemporary dance (83 mins) | May 16, 2024 | 1 PM, 5 PM @ Korean Cultural Center

<Dance Talks> is a lecture performance featuring dancers from various fields, including traditional Korean dance, contemporary dance, ballet, and street dance, who reflect on contemporary dance through dance and narrative, focusing on the specific body of the dancer. Dancers' bodies embody the illusion of beauty on stage, but in reality, they are often injured or deformed as professionals who use their bodies. In the performance, the dancers tell autobiographical stories about their bodies and use their own experiences with health and injury to critique the illusions that surround dance, and also show their dedication to dance on stage.

🌟 'Dallae Story', non-verbal puppet show (70 mins) | June 6, 2024 | 1 PM, 5 PM @ Korean Cultural Center

<Dallae Story> is a story of three families who cherish the simple things in their lives together. It is a story of childhood memories that everyone has, and how the small pleasures of a happy and warm day can help us through the inevitable hard times. The unique form of actors and puppets performing together uses a variety of media, including objects, theater, mime, Korean dance, shadow play, and 3D video. It is a non-verbal puppet theater that uses lyrical dance and implied gestures to convey the content, making it easy for anyone to understand and relate to.
