“His technique and the extensive range of his tone colours allow him to grasp every single nuance in the score with poise and natural ease.”- The Guardian
The globally acclaimed pianist Sunwook Kim is coming to the Korean Cultural Center’s stage!
Sunwook Kim came to international recognition when he won the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition in 2006, aged just 18, becoming the competition’s youngest and first Asian winner for 40 years. Since then, he has established a reputation as one of the finest pianists of his generation, appearing as a concerto soloist with some of the world’s most renowned orchestras, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Staatskapelle Dresden, and Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In recent years, He has further broadened his musicality as a conductor, most notably directing from the piano during the Chamber Orchestra of Europe international tour, which began from La Salle Philharmonique de Liège last March.
