Level Guide and Class Changes

  • No Mandatory Level Test: A formal level test is not required to apply.

  • Self-Assessment (Optional): If you are unsure of your Korean level, you can take a free online self-assessment test on the [Nuri Sejong Hakdang Website] to find your recommended level. https://nuri.iksi.or.kr/front/page/participation/onlineLevelTest/main.do

  • Class Changes: If you find the class too easy or too difficult after classes begin, you can request to change classes within the first 2 weeks of the semester, subject to teacher approval and seat availability.

Course Structure and Certificate Requirements

  • Academic Calendar (28 sessions total): The program spans a full academic year, from late August to next June, divided into two semesters (14 sessions per semester).

  • No Final Exam: Starting this academic year, the end-of-semester final exam has been removed. Students will no longer take a formal exam at the end of the term.

  • Certificate of Completion: Certificates will be issued strictly based on attendance. Students who achieve an attendance rate of 80% or more throughout the course will receive an official certificate of completion.

Important Remarks for Applicants

  • One application per person: Each applicant can submit only one application. Multiple applications for different levels or duplicate submissions will be automatically disqualified.

  • Payment Name Match: The name used for registration must match the sender's name of the bank transfer. If you must use a different name for payment (e.g., a parent's account), you must specify the exact sender name on the application form. Unidentified payments will result in automatic cancellation.

  • Lottery and Result Announcement (July 2): The online lottery will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2026. The lottery will select both main successful candidates and waitlisted candidates (up to 25% of class capacity). Notification emails will be sent ONLY to selected individuals (successful candidates and waitlist numbers). If you do not receive an email on that day, it means you have not been selected.

  • Tuition Payment Deadline: Successful candidates must make their tuition payment within the designated period after receiving the selection email. Failure to pay on time will result in automatic cancellation, and the vacant spot will be immediately assigned to the waitlist.

  • Non-transferable Policy: Registration and tuition fees are strictly non-transferable to other people. (*Detailed refund guidelines will be provided to successful candidates with payment instructions).

We look forward to welcoming you for the new semester. Thank you for your understanding.
