A Korean wind blows through La Vénerie, the cultural center of Watermael-Boitsfort, during the six days of the Festival “Souffle Coréen”. It is the Festival’s second edition, organized together with the Korean Cultural Center. The program of this year is for every taste and every age, and will blow your expectations:

Korean Food Truck

Echos : musiques et pensées spécial Corée

Discover the Belgian Composer Baudouin de Jaer, who composes for Korean instruments. A colorful evening with digital fragments and live interpretations by You-jin Sung on the Gayageum.

Dance Atelier Talchum
Bongsan Talchum is one of the last living forms of popular theatrical dance in Korea. By using the costumes of a nobleman, a shaman, a wife, a concubine, or a servant, this performance is also a satirical remark on social relationships.

In order to experience Korean culture also with your own hands, the Festival also proposes a workshop of Korean paper art (Hanji) or Korean calligraphy.

Concert Pansori, Heungbo-ga
Pansori is a kind of Korean opera, both minimalist and very passionate in style. Under the accompaniment of one percussionist, the great pansori singer Hye-sung Min performs the play Heungbo-ga, a tragicomic story of two brothers.

Ciné Apéro : The Housemaid

A film that started a scandal and became a cult legend, on the theme of adultery, sometimes quoted as the foundation film of modern Korean Cinema. We show you the original version of 1960 at 6pm, followed by the remake of 2011 at 8.30pm, with in between a delicious Korean buffet.
