SISTER (2026)

Director: JIN Sung-moon

87 min, Belgian Premiere, Subtitles: EN / FR / NL

April 16, 18:00 @ Brussels Expo

*In the presence of Director JIN Sung-moon

(Synopsis)

On paper, the plan was simple: kidnap So-jin, keep her in a remote, soundproof location, and wait for her wealthy father to pay the ransom. Far from being a crime of pure greed, the kidnappers are driven by desperation—one needs funds for a sister’s expensive surgery, while the other struggles to save a child between life and death. This "Robin Hood" justification eases their conscience, but complications arise quickly. So-jin has cut all ties with her father, and the kidnappers’ own motivations are a web of lies and betrayal that threaten to unravel. While it may remind seasoned viewers of The Disappearance of Alice Creed, this Korean reimagining holds a secret in its title, SISTER, that you have yet to discover...

TRISTES TROPIQUES (2025)

Director: PARK Hoon-jung

118 min, Belgian Premiere, Subtitles: EN / FR / NL

April 17, 20:00 @ Brussels Expo

(Synopsis)

In a world where most children are playing with toys, a group of youngsters is trained seven days a week in the tropical jungle to become the world’s most dangerous assassins, known as “Tristes Tropiques.” Years later, scattered across Asia, a brutal event shatters their secret clan, leading to mutual suspicion, existential betrayal, and bloody vengeance. Directed by Park Hoon-jung—the acclaimed screenwriter behind I Saw the Devil and New World—this film offers an incredible cinematic experience. Imagine a high-stakes drama fueled by headshots, filmed with the intensity of The Raid or the stylistic flair of a John Wick movie directed by Wong Kar-wai.
