Therefore, the center proudly hosts an exclusive gala concert with two Korean finalists of this year’s edition for piano: Yoonji Kim and Hans H. Suh, both of whom are currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik in Hanover. This concert will be your last chance to enjoy their outstanding talent before their return to Germany.

Yoonji Kim

Born in 1989, Yoonji Kim studied in the National University of Arts in Seoul, before continuing her education at the in Hochschule für Musik in Hanover. Before participating in the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Yoonji Kim already won several first prizes at grand competitions, among which the first Prize at the KBS Music Competiton in Korea in 2010, lifting her up into the international musical arena.

On 23rd May, Yoonji Kim baffled the audience on the first finals night of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, with her vivid melodic strength, ample sonority and subtle nuances.

Hans H. Suh

Born in 1990, Hans H. Suh won the Korea Times Music Competition at the age of seven and gave his first recital the same year. He studied at an impressive list of reputed music schools around the world, including the Juilliard School in New York, and currently at the Hochschule für Musik in Hanover. Hans H. On May 24rd, during the second finals night of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Hans H. Suh impressed with his technical skills, giving a strong, solid interpretation of the music score, while never failing to stir up a lot of emotions.
